Lonely, given the way it was worded. However, I have always associated loneliness with the desire to be with others. I would rather be by myself most of the time.

I would rather be an outcast. Because I’ve experienced loneliness only a very few times (and not for long at that), but it’s not a good feeling. I’d rather be in a group of people who don’t necessarily treat me as their own,
than to be all by myself. God has used people in great ways in my life and I think having a community even if there isn’t a connection there with them is better than no community at all.
