That. Was. Beautiful. Your Daddy’s memory was honored. It reminds me a lot of my Daddy. He’s 90 now, has Parkinson’s he’s dealt with for years, but it’s taking his memory... I need to savor each moment with him. Also, I feel our children would feel the same of their Daddy. A steady through and through, who shows love in so many ways.

Oh Karen, I am so sorry for the loss of your daddy. You wrote a beautiful tribute and I'm sure he would be proud! I can relate to the glasses story. Glasses are so personal. When my father passed in August 2021 my mom gave me my father's glasses to put in the donation box of our local Lion's Club. I wasn't able to do it at first. I took his glasses home with me and finally parted with them a month or so later. I had to sit with it before I could get rid of something that was so much a part of him. I will be praying for you, your mom and family.

Thank you, Connie. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who was stopped by his glasses. Thank you for sharing my grief.

Karen, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute to your Daddy. The first few paragraphs are such an accurate description of what I just went through with my sister. I couldn't find the words to describe it but you did for me. ❤️Thank you!

I don’t think comparing grief to nausea and vomiting is irreverent, it’s just accurate. I made that same comparison several months ago because it was the best way to describe it in a way anyone could understand. That was an interesting fact about trauma survivors and our ability to get through things and put off our emotions until later. It explains a lot for me. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Praying for strength and comfort for your family.
